Well, it happened to me again last night -- and this
is a pattern I've seen more than a few times before,
even though it is not a real frequent occurrence. The
difference is that this time I made note of it, so I
can quote the details. This is similar to previous
instances.

I had 4 windows open: 2 from Moz 1.7.12, 1 of ZTree
(full screen), and one of Command Prompt (f/s).
{Yeah, I know, but I generally don't much care for
windowed sessions. For DCalc or something like that,
a small window is fine. Sometimes a Command Prompt
window. With ZTree, I'd usually prefer to see as much
of whatever I'm looking at as possible.} I close the
Command session from the e-centre. Then I close one
of the two Moz f/s "windows", from inside Moz. No
problem so far. But then I close the other one, also
from inside Moz. This is where it hangs. Not just
the app., but the whole os. Jammed tight: No mouse,
no kb, no nuttin'. The (default installed) CAD popup
does not respond either. I was going to do a couple
of small tasks in ZTree before shutting the system
down, but now I can't. Repeated CADs *do* force a
Reset. (On other occasions, I've had to use the Reset
switch.) The Shutdown must have counted as Clean,
because CHKDSK does not run on the next boot.

For just this reason, I have to remember to force
myself to finish all ZTree business *first*, before
risking this happening when I close Moz. Well before
the many releases of Moz, I used to see this behavior
sometimes with NS 4.61.

This is with eCS 1.2. (GA, not "R"). I would say
this happens maybe 1 time in 12. The mileage may
vary, but mine has never been that great in this
regard. I haven't seen anything at all like this with
any other app. that I can recall. I'll be curious to
see if it occurs at all with FF or SM.

Jordan
