If I don't put a CD in one of those four boxes, it won't boot the CD,
right. After going thru that process a couple times it accepted the
recover CD. That partitioned the HDD as a 2G and 1.8G - that's all
there is - and formated them FAT16. It failed trying to install files.
DFSee boot CD now works. The drive appears OK.
I'll wing it from here - W98SE.
