I'm ooking forward to this - where do I look (didn't see it on Hobbes)? My
"goal" is to have a dedicated backup server with drives that contain mirrors
of all the partitions on all machines' drives. If a machine fails for any
reason, just unplug the appropriate hard drive(s) containing the appropriate
partitions, install them in a new box, and I'm up and running. I've spec'd
the software I need but haven't yet written it; rSync might be a perfect choice.

A good reminder. -u doesn't delete any files from the target path. If
you're really into backing up everything forever, you can timetag every
archived filename (a little Rexx will do it) and have a complete history.
