Sandy and svobi,
I'm going to ask you both to go back to the Association Editor program. Please check
and verify that *.jpg files, for example, are associated with PMView both as follows:
1. Associations by file Type
2. Associations by file Filter
Then, please verify that, in both cases, PMView is the default, or first program,
associated with that graphic file type. Sometimes I've found that I've had conflicting
associations in the "by file Type" and "by file Filter" categories. And when it conflicted, I
got undesireable results when double clicking on that file type to open it.
Now, if that does not work, or you did not have any conflicts in this area, I suggest that
you delete the PMView program from the *.jpg association (both "by file Type" and "by
file Filter"). Then, find the PMView program object on your desktop and drag it to the
"Associated with" box for both the "Associations by file Type" and "Associations by file
Filter". Then make PMView the default (the first or top program) to associate with the
*.jpg files. Do that in both the "Associations by file Type" and "Associations by file
Filter". My thought here is that perhaps you have an old, no longer correct, file path to
PMView in the Association Editor.
I suggest a reboot after you do the above. If any of the above fixes your problem for the
*.jpg file types, I suggest that you make the appropriate similar changes for other
graphic file types. Good luck.
