No, I didn't. Jan had just put a bunch of time helping me get the drive so that I could see it again to copy the files over. JFS wouldn't even complete a chkdsk (!), and I was screwed for a time. I really didn't want to bother him again, especially since I'll likely need his help after I move these files.
However, I'll poke around at the yahoo group to see if that's been discussed.
