Subject: SCOUG-Help: New error message

Content Type: text/plain

"Is this a fresh install or did you restore a backup to the new hardware?"

Neither. I just moved my SCSI controller and drive to the new box.

"This points to either a IDE driver problem or an issue with the LVM data
or it could be that you are missing one or more files that the Alt-F1 boot
requires. Do you have an error number?"

Unlikely to be the first or third possibly. I've now learned that the message is one either timing in pressing the key combo and/or holding it down. 3lve since been able to access the menu by doing it at exactly the right time and not holding the keys down.

There is no error number - that is the entire text.
