It is very confusing. Most of the subdirectories are empty, but if I
remove the wrong ones, I lose the links from some of the icons to the
programs plus I lose the ecenter thing that runs along the bottom of the
screen.
I did find one -- previous desktop.001 that I was able to remove without
affecting anything. The others I will just leave in place.
