All this discussion prompted me to check the TZ parameter on my
machines. One of them, with eCS 1.2R has:
SET TZ-UST8UST,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0
I have never seen this before. It also has the normal warning just above
it. I found that on this system, the clock is set to UTC! I don't know
how this happened, but perhaps I neglected to specify the time zone when
it was installed.
How can I get it set back to PST where I want it to be? I have just
spent a good bit of time looking at preferences all over this system,
but I can't find a way to change it!
On another system with 2.0b3 installed, I have:
SET TZ=PST8PDT,4,1,0,7200,10,-1,0,7200,3600
This looks more normal.
