From Paul Smedley's website ( http://smedley.info/os2ports/ ), I unzipped
Paul Smedley's distro httpd-2.2.4-os2.zip to F:\ and from
libc-0.6.1-csd1.zip I placed libc061.dll in the F:\apache2\bin directory.
startup.cmd failed:

'[F:\apache2]startup
SYS1804: The system cannot find the file HTTPD.
[F:\apache2]'

I modified startup.cmd "set
beginlibpath=u:\apache2\bin;u:\apache2\modules;" to "set
beginlibpath=F:\apache2\bin;F:\apache2\modules;" startup.cmd failed:

[F:\apache2]startup
bin\\httpd: Syntax error on line 54 of ./conf/httpd.conf: Cannot load
F:/apache2 /modules/mod_authn_file.so into server: SYS0002: The system
cannot find the file
specified. (F:\\APACHE2\\MODULES\\MOD_AUTHN_FILE.SO)
[F:\apache2]

Since I have never looked at httpd.conf before, I cheated. I copied
httpd.conf.sample over httpd.conf . startup.cmd results in:

'[F:\apache2]startup
bin\\httpd: apr_sockaddr_info_get() failed for independence
bin\\httpd: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified
domain nam e, using 127.0.0.1 for ServerName
Apache/2.2.4 (OS/2)
'

Now what do I do please? I made some educated guesses to get this far.
All the files that I modified, I saved a copy of the original. Note, the
reason why such a detailed story is this should be easy to just cut and
paste into a SCOUG article. I already owe Steven Levine and others some
articles

Noted. Once I have some idea what I am doing with Apache.

Regards.
