Subject: SCOUG-Help: SEEK uploaded to Hobbes

Content Type: text/plain

Hello Everyone,
If anyone is interested, I've justed uploaded a file and directory utility application to
Hobbes. You will find it as follows:

ftp://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/incoming/Seek_v1.zip

ftp://hobbes.nmsu.edu/pub/incoming/Seek_v1.txt

SEEK is principally an OS/2 (eCS) utility to search for files and directories on your
system. After the search has been completed you can sort the results, in ascending or
descending order, by any of the following sort criteria:
File (or directory) create/save date
File (or directory) create/save time
File (or directory) size
File (or directory) path
Filename or directory name

SEEK can also perform the following other services:
Launch selected files into appropriate applications
Search for text strings in selected ASCII files
Find file or directory extended attributes in selected files or directories
Copy selected file or directory tree data to the clipboard

SEEK comes complete with a full set of instructions in *.htm format. The program
requires Object REXX installed and in use on your system.
