It's better that this stuff stay on the list. We really should have done

That's odd. What version of eCS/OS2 are you running on the laptap? What
version of tcp/ip does inetver report.

If you are posting this via your laptop, there's nothing wrong per se with
your tcp/ip setup. How are you connecting to the internet on the laptop?
Dialup? WIreless?

What happens if you run xserver from the command line from the hobx11
directory?
