I did not answer because discussing email clients is like discussing religion.
I have my requirements and look for a program that meets the ones I think are
critical.
There are various programs to convert one email client's files to another.
Depending on the popularity of each program you may have multiple choices or
none at all.
Now onto religion. ;-)
I very much dislike programs that separate attachments into other files from
the original email, they get orphaned and do not always get deleted when the
original email gets deleted. I like the emails to be stored in separate files,
making it much easier to search them. I like Polarbar because of the
"personas" (I have almost 30), I can set the "From" and "Reply-To" to anything
I want and can use it for any email I send or reply to, it also has the folder
of where I want to store the sent email. I have three different accounts in
Polarbar (the file structure is separate for each account). One for testing
various things. The other two are for real email. One fetches email from four
different email address in three different domains on two different systems.
The other one fetches three different email address from a single domain.
