You can use UniMaint as follows:
1. Save a copy of your OS2.INI file somewhere and have the ability to
copy it back to the "\OS2" directory of your boot drive, should something go wrong with
your editing. To do so, you will need to boot to a maintenance eCS-OS/2 setup.
2. Next, open UniMaint.
3. If it does not load with the OS2.INI file, go to "File" on the Main Menu
and select "User INI File".
4. Use the scrollbars in the three (3) UniMaint windows to scroll to the
"Application", "Key" and "Key Value" that you want to edit. Note: The *.INI file structure is
in terms of:
Applications
Keys
Key Value for each key
So for example, you may have the "Mesa2" (spreadsheet) application. That
application has the "INSTALLATIONPATH" and "VERSION" keys, among others.
Each key has a key value. On mine the "VERSION" key value is "230."
5. Go to "Actions" on the Main Menu. From there you can select the type
of edit that you want. For example, you can "Update Current Key", "Delete Key" and
"Replace Key Value", among others.
