Subject: SCOUG-Help: Newsgroup postings search tool

Content Type: text/plain

Any time there are no messages here for more than
about a day, it is likely because the server is down,=20
again. This is one of several messages that seems to
have disappeared into the ether during the most recent
offline period of about three days.

---------------------------------------------------

I used to use (and sometimes still do, in the absence
of any better option) the old Deja News search
template. But it now seems to be very
non-comprehensive in scope, hit or miss, and may not
cover any posts that are at all recent. (In the case
of OS/2 interest, that may or may not matter.)

Of course, I do use Google for this also, and
sometimes that works out. But I was wondering if
anyone could recommend a good, latter day successor to
the Deja News searcher ? Something with "Advanced
Search" type fill-in-the-box options, to include /
exclude, etc. ?
