Hello Everyone,
I need some help, some advise, on programming an application in C. My (current) objective is to have the
application read from and write to an *.INI file. The *.INI file will be stored in the same directory as the
application executable.
My problem is that I want to code the window so that it can find the path to the directory where it, the
executable, resides. At that point I can then read from/write to the *.INI. I cannot figure out how to code the
window to find the path.
DosQueryCurrentDir does not work, if you run the executable from a Windowed command prompt, that is
open to some other directory than the directory containing the executable. Similarly, if I use a program
object and the working directory of the program object is different than the executable,
DosQueryCurrentDir does not work under that situation.
Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thank you.
