Subject: SCOUG-Help: Problems update

Content Type: text/plain

Last time I mentioned that the booting process did not go to
completion. After using Dfsee I was able to get around that
problem, but it soon became obvious that the problems are
much deeper and will require some very expert advice.
The designers of my hardware were extremely ingenious
in making my PC difficult to use. Here are some of the
problems that I have to date been unable to resolve.
1. Dialing stops at the line SLATTACH....
2. Clicking on some software (I have not tried all) such
as APL2 just causes a flash and no activity. This despite
the fact that I re-installed APL2 under a new directory
in an attempt to get around this problem.
3. After creating a new partition and setting it as installable
an atempt to install eCS 1.2 fails because no partition is
available. Only the Z: volume shows up on the panel
where one is supposed to select a partition for formatting.
