Yeah, but this was a very high end model, suitable for
pro graphics use. In this case, the size and the
weight seems to be tied in with the build quality.
And having made that size investment, it may be the
last scanner I buy.
A lot of the stuff you buy today seems to be designed
to be disposable hardware. I know a regular scanner
user who is on her third USB scanner within two years
-- and not by choice.
