Again, you need to define mounting. I sure don't understand the term as
you seem to be using it.

FWIW, since I run 4OS2, it's trival for the start up scripts to find the
apps and data. I often run apps installed on the main system while
sitting at the laptop.

You keep saying eCS, but you seem to mean eCS with LVM support replaced.
I would expect this setup to have problems unless you planned well when
you did the original install.
