OK. All I can say is that all the tests reports for you MB were done in
systems with 500+ watt power supplies and there was one post from a guy
that needed to get a larger power supply to get his system to boot.

The last case I bought came with a set of backplates.

That's wierd. I would call that a mistake by the vendor.

The plate does have it's uses. It keeps out the dust and helps with
airflow.
