True. At best, you can get assembled in the US. This may get you better
quality control and a better warranty. Very few components are
manufactured in the US. The reality is that the worst of today's stuff is
incredibly more reliable than what we could get even 15 years ago and at a
fraction of the cost.

Exactly. Different channels provide differnt levels of service and
support.
