Thanks for the PCIUTILs.
I found what was making the old system turn itself off spontaneously. I
guess it was the heat, but I seem to have fixed it by turning off the
BIOS setting for the system to shut itself off automatically if it gets
too hot! I left the warning about being too hot and so far it has worked
and not alarmed. I hope it doesn't fry itself. Anyway, it was
resurrected from the dead.
