I just replaced an aged and failing CRT monitor with a new LCD one. I
did not know that there were wide screen and regularly sized monitors.
Do they still make LCD non-wide screen monitors. In Win2K there is no
driver that supports the monitors native 1440 x 900 resolution, but I
can live with that. In eCS the Snap driver has a 1440 x 900 setting that
seems to work, but a portion of either the top or bottom of the screen
is cut off. The monitor has a built in horizontal sizing control, but no
control for vertical sizing. Please help me with suggestions. I could
return the monitor, but will I find another suitable one? I could buy a
plug in video card--Is there a reasonably priced one that would work. I
can live with this for 6-12 months until I upgrade my motherboard which
is about 4 years old (Tyan Tomcat A8E 2865 with onboard ATI RAGE XL
PCI). Can anyone enlighten me about the current crop of monitors?
Martin
