Subject: SCOUG-Help: it's worse

Content Type: text/plain

Each time I try to do something, it blows up on me. WHY???
The most recent catastrophe happened when I tried the
selective install. I checked the printer utilities, the utilities
and a couple of other things. The installation appeared to
go smoothly and in the end there was the message to re-boot
the system. So I re-booted, and after the eCS window the
screen showed a message that the installation was completed.
Then the black screen showed a blinking cursor and nothing else.
Since that time, booting eCS gets to the same point where the
black screen shows just the blinking cursor. Nothing has any effect
except Ctrl-Alt-Del. (I cannot even do an install from the CD by
changing the boot sequence to start with the CD)
I will try next dfsee (from a diskette) and hope that the computer
WILL NOT TOTALLY CRASH.
