Hi Colin,
That is a fair question. I have been using OS/2 since version 2.1 beta.
I have done so many migrations through version 3 and 4 up through
fixpack 15 and now kernels from eCS, that my desktop is familiar. I
installed eCS 1.2, but the migration was difficult. I have also
installed all the newer versions of eCS up through 2.0 through RC - 4.
There was always some problem in that I had to revert to back to Beta 2,
which so far seems pretty reliable. As I get more comfortable with eCS I
am sure I will make the change when verson 2.0 comes out in final release.
In the meantime, I prefer to stay with what is familiar and with what I
know I can count on. I can't afford to make the switch until I feel I
can count on what I use day in and day out, even though some of the
tools do work better.
The help I get from this group has been essential to my keeping OS/2
running, and I am very appreciative.
Sandy
