I don't know. Are you telling me that this goes on
anyway, even when you've chosen "None" during the
install ? (I'll check Config.Sys, just in case.)

One might logically assume that "None" in fact means
NONE. If that is indeed so, the principle remains the
same: a retrofit with *something* instead of nothing,
and how this might be accomplished.

My idea seems like it could work, but I guess that
depends on whether certain entries must get created in
MMOS2.INI by the Sound install. (I'm sure you recall
Jerry dealing with the subject of hacking MMOS2.INI,
several years back.)=20
