I ran FTPD on my OS/2 computer in order to make some files available to a
friend who only uses windows. My friend used his Windows Firefox browser
and successfully logged on to my computer and could see the files in the
designated /ftp subdirectory that I set up.
But we could not figure out a way for him to download the files once he
had access to them. I suggested he get a Windows FTP transfer utility, but
that freaked him out. So I ended up putting the files on a CD and mailing
them to him.
My question is if there is some way to use Firefox to download files? If
so, what is the procedure. I could find nothing in the Firefox help
section except for Download Manager, and that did not say anything about
initiating a download.
Thanks,
Sandy
