Sandy,
Through experimentation (suggested by Steven), I believe that my similar
problems are related to the Flash player. If I turn it off, I have far
fewer (although not zero) crashes.

To turn Flash on and off, I rename NPSWF32.DLL in
C:\PROGRAMS\MOZ_PLUGS. Your system may store NPSWF32 in a different
place. Worth a try....
