How about with DFSee? I stuck a 200G PATA in a USB case, plug it into
my laptop, boot the DFSee CD, DFSee can see it, I copy or clone
partitions or the whole HDD. Very slick and painless. YMMV.
eCS USB out-of-the-box on my DT can read my Cannon camera. I find USB
mostly just works, without screwing with it.
