Find the program object that you use to start FireFox. Open the "properties",
select the "association" tab, in the bottom left entry field type"*.htm" and
select "add" repeat with "*.html". That should do it for most files. For the
files that have multiple "." (dots) your will need to add "*.*.html" with the
*.* matching the number of dots in the file name. If you assign more that one
program to start the same file type you will need to right click on the file
object then click on the arrow next to the "open" then select which of those
multiple programs you want to start (the default for a double click is the
first object in the open list).
