Maybe. Would ORC150 bring it back ?

In the interim, I realized that I also have a
"Maintenance" partition on the Shuttle, which is in
fact the full-fledged predecessor eCS 1.1 partition.
So I booted that up, and found a Network object there.
Its Properties for TCP/IP shows TCPCFG2.CMD (which is
what I couldn't quite recall) as being the operative
entity. When I boot back to 1.2, I think there is a
good chance that will bring the Notebook up -- whether
it has its own proper object residence or not.

While I had the alternate notebook up, I took a set of
JPEG snaps of it with PMVIEW -- something I wanted to
have for reference for a long time now. That ought to
suffice as reference for the laptop . . . unless
they've been tinkering with the format of the notebook
since 1.1.

I'm hoping to deal with some issues on the laptop at
the Help Desk next weekend, if you will be available.

Regards,

Jordan
