The main difference between the various Mozilla apps is the UI. All the
apps share the same code base and all the code lives in the same source
code repository. When building one of the Mozilla apps, the build process
grabs pieces needed for specific application and goes to work.
The UI (aka the chrome) is implemented with XUL. This is the same stuff
that is used to implement extensions. What this means is that if someone
cared to they could make the SeaMonkey UI look like FireFox. Some of this
will happen automatically over time. The good features of each UI will
appear in the other UIs.
