I don't think JFS is a requirement. From what I have heard it is an option to
install on JFS instead of HPFS.
What is your problem with JFS?
With eCS v1.2 I have no option for the system partition so it is HPFS. For my
other partition it is JFS and if there is a crash it takes a long time to
chkdsk the system partition but almost 0 time to check the JFS partition.
