Hi Steven,,
I had gone back to using OS/2 Warp, and I forgot about the problem with eCS.
Just for kicks, I tried using PM Sane under eCS, and this time it worked
fine. I don't know what is different now from before, but I am pleased
that it at least is working now.
I guess there is something to be said for "neglect."

Hi,
F:\os2sane\find-scanner.exe: found processor "HP C5110A 3638" at device
b1t2l0
OK.
PM Sane version 0.52 (beta)
I was looking for your sane version. I didn't realize that pmsane
included a sane distro.
The included sane version is pretty old, but it might support some debug
options. Try setting
set SANE_DEBUG_DLL=255
set SANE_DEBUG_HP=255
then run
scanimage -L
and see what happens.
