Subject: SCOUG-Help: Keyboard Type-a-Matic

Content Type: text/plain

I have acquired a new keyboard (Logitech Classic, USB, wired, cheap) because I
could not get my old IBM to play nice through my new KVM switch. It works fine
except for one thing (that I know of so far): The Type-A-Matic function does not
work under eCS 2.0 RC4. It does work in Win2K, FreDOS, Knoppix, and the DFSee
CD. I have tried messing with the keyboard settings, to no avail. I have also
tried the Maintenance Console while booted from the eCS 2.0 RC4 installation CD,
and with the old eCS 1.0 Demo CD. It does not work with either one.

Since it works with software other than eCS, I didn't think that it can be
hardware related, BUT if I plug the keyboard directly into the computer,
Type-A-Matic does work under eCS 2.0 RC4.

Suggestions, anyone?
