OK. It is often useful to put a delay before the statement too.

The IFS statements are processed sequentially, so the period between the
messages output by the delay statements should match up with when the LEDs
are on.

Do both IFSs exhibit the same delays? If so, I'd suspect hardware issues
of some sort. Any beeps from the Dani drivers?

What does

say? Is Dani operating the drives at full speed?
