Hi Jack,

It's not terribly clear how far you have gotten with this. Please post
copies of

\config.sys
\startup.cmd (if you have one)
\ibmcom\lantran.log
\ibmcom\protocol.ini
\ibmcom\macs\yournic.nif (yournic is the name of your nic's nif)
\mptn\bin\setup.cmd
\mptn\etc\dhcpcd.cfg
\mptn\etc\resolv*

Also, you need to tell us what does and does not work based on what you
have done so far.

>Do I need an os/2 file to make DSL work?

A better way to phrase the question is what do I need to change to make my
DSL work? I would estimate that the large majority of OS/2 users are
already using DSL. Generally, the setup is a cookbook process.

>route -fh
>arp -f
>ifconfig 1o 127.0.0.1
>REM ifconfig lan 0
>REM ifconfig lan 1
>REM ifconfig lan 2
>REM ifconfig lan 3
>REM ifconfig lan 4
>REM ifconfig lan 5
>REM ifconfig lan 6
>REM ifconfig lan 7
>dhcpstrt -i lan0 -d 45
>REM if config s10

If you end up using DHCP to assign an IP address to your setup.cmd will be
similar.

>The file supposedly goes in tcp/ip notebook settings which I can't find.

The file is maintained by the TCP/IP settings notebook and live in
\tcpip\bin.
