I have not used your _shl scripts yet but did look at the output of configure
and what I have seemed to work. This is a little bit from the output of
configure.

checking for working pod2html... found
checking for working pod2man... found

I am still getting the following from configure.

type: No such file or directory
type: No such file or directory
type: No such file or directory
type: No such file or directory
function: No such file or directory
builtin: No such file or directory
