You know me. I take the simple approach. There's no obvious reason why
the .CLASSINFO EA would not be mostly, if not entirely, constant data.
Why not just use UNIMAINT or EAUTIL to just attach the EA from another
object and see what happens.

You might want to consider a DEVCON subscription or wait for the just
announced VAC 4.0 to appear. The stuff you are asking about is all in the
TOOLKIT documentation. Haven't looked lately, but some the TOOLKIT
documentation may be available at IBM's Developer Connection website.
