I liked that book, but it only covered Perl 4.

Anyone else had any success 'editing in place' yet?
I had to resort to stream editing this piece of email to get my
'^>' put in place. The best I've been able to do with -i is get it
to add extension to the file name.
This seemed so easy with DOS Big Perl.

You mean THE O'Reilly book don't you?

O'Reilly is starting to flood the market with various Perl books,
Perl conferences, Perl t-shirts etc. but 2 are still essential.
What Perl schtick will make it to Home Shopping Network?

Check out page 18 of Dichter & Pease.

Hey, it's better than the snake and rat books for Python isn't it? :-)
