Subject: SCOUG-Programming: Re: OS/2 programming books for $1

I've seen similar deals in the Edward R. Hamilton, Bookseller,
catalog when they fall below some level of inventory.
(Falls Village, CT 06031-5000, http://www.Hamiltonbook.com, but
be warned not all books in in their eyestrain spectacular/pocket book draining
'Bargain Books' catalog is in their web page and visa versa)

I've occasionally picked up copies with the rest of my order when
they get to that price and donated them to the club library.
I think some of the 'less meaty' ones made it to the
general meeting raffles.

Also, A & S Bargain Books, that took over some of the Super Crown Bookstores
that Crown closed when reorganizing/downsizing, is a good source of
OS/2 books of the same vintage Steve mentions here. (At least the one in
Lakewood is.) Typically at half price.
The one in Lakewood has the equivalent of a bookcase of
OS/2 books, most of them in one particular case.

SL> Hi,
SL>
SL> While wandering about, I checked out the surplus books store on 17th St in
SL> Costa Mesa. They have several OS/2 programming titles. There's softbound
SL> editions of Petzold's book and the Panov's book and a couple of others.
SL> Both include diskettes with code.
SL>
SL> Of course, these are all all Warp 2 and Warp 3 vintage but for basic OS/2
SL> programming references a buck is not bad. If anyone wants me to pick up a
SL> copy for them, let me know.
