Like I said, public domain kornshell and kermit/2.
I meant *literally* pdksh and kermit/2.
At some points in the past of the program, the pdksh parts of
it had been written in batch file, to generate the e-mail queue,
latter dumped into the SMTP agent via the scriptable telnet client
Kermit/2.
(Also, at points in the past it interfaced with a BBS
instead of SMTP, but I tried to maintain backward compatability.)

All this was done on OS/2, Warp 3.
I'll have to dig around to find this stuff.
They were going to be posted at http://www.kermit-project.org,
but they are too busy with the upcoming major revisions etc. to
update their web pages otherwise I would just send you the
URL.

I don't know for sure, because I've never used it,
but the TCP connection portion of this could probably be handled
with the free for the download C-Kermit/2 32-bit version.

I'll see if I can dig up the batch file version of the
prompt command. If a batch file can handle it, I'd think
REXX should have no problem.
