I think it would be worthwhile to link in the DLL's (once we have
something to link to). I like *utilities* that don't need "something
else" to run -- otherwise I'm apt to copy the .exe to a floppy and only
realize I'm missing some .dll after I've arrived somewhere or sent it to
somebody who couldn't get it to run.
