I was suggesting you only use the .ini with printer specific settings for
printing and, perhaps, reflowing the document before printing. You would
continue to use your standard EPM configuration for everything else. Most
word processors store the printer settings with the document to solve
exactly the problem you are writing custom code to work around.
If you prefer to update a single .INI, I'm sure you can figure out the
REXX to do it. If you are lucky, it might even be able to run the REXX
from inside EPM. If you are unlucky, you might need to restart EPM for it
to see the updated settings.

This may be easier than you think. The same kind of REXX that updates the
margins can update the settings in the other .INIs. You'll have to decide
which is the least effort solution for the way you work.
