The programmer can choose? Then why not also allow English? If it's up
to the programmer, why not allow the option of writing the solution
method in English?

I thought the compiler did that. I thought the Programmer's Interface
was how the coder "managed" the source code, and the executable was
generated only when the coder told the compiler to run. It's possible
to integrate the two so the code is regenerated with every line change
-- is this what you want?
