Subject: SCOUG-Programming: 2004 Schedule

Content Type: text/plain

I realize that you have other thoughts occupying your
attention over the holiday season, but I would like you to give
some thought to our program in the coming year. Scheduled
for January we have Bob Blair discussing REXX programming,
specifically the parse operator. In February I would like to
introduce LISP programming. In March perhaps we could take
a first look at PM programming to get a feel for setting up a
visual interface.

During this time we should give some consideration for what
we want to present from our website. If we still favor
presenting some form of a programming comparative linguistic
in the languages we have discussed so far, then we should
decide on what to compare in terms of expressions, control
structures, algorithms, functions, and programs. Individuals
then could contribute where they feel most comfortable. We
just need someone (one or more) willing to organize and
maintain the contributions on the website.

I suggest that you give some consideration to this between
now and when we meet in January. Meanwhile enjoy the
holidays.
