Hi Lynn,
Just for the record, it took me about 3 years to get Relish to work.
BUT, it turns out it wasn't a problem with Relish. Presentation Manager
has a bug which keeps Relish from displaying my data (see the final
thread messages involving Steven, Randell and myself).
I don't know the PM API but apparently there's something called a
"container" which the program loads with information and then instructs
PM to display. Well, PM fails to do this on my 1600x1200 monitor when
running Relish full-screen and restoring the window from a minimized
state.
The reason all my data constantly disappeared turned out to be this
Presentation Manager bug. It had nothing to do with Relish and it had
nothing to do with me misusing the program.
I'm a darned sight happier with Relish now than I was because now I know
where the problem is and can work around it. Finding the problem took
hundreds of manhours, created quite a bit of consternation in several
places, and probably caused Carla to put my face on her dartboard.
Feel free to use my experience in your presentation. Remember that if I
hadn't tenaciously attacked the program and Steven hadn't just as
tenaciously defended it, the Presentation Manager bug would never have
been uncovered.
