Good point -- and I woke up this morning remembering I could have tried  
GCC, but would have needed to find os2.h.  
 
My Watcom 11 is up in L.A.  I think I'm supposed to copy something out  
of it into the Open Watcom installation.  I'm sure the O.W. readme will  
tell me what to do.
