Then you are burning a bridge.  You are, _arbitrarily_, deciding that  
humans shall no longer need to understand the source -- and you are  
designing a system which will make it somewhat impossible for humans to  
do just that.  
 
Here we diverge.  Someday the dentist's drill will be controlled by a  
robotic arm and video acquisition, but *I* want a dentist watching and  
in charge while the work is done.  You seem to be comfortable with the  
cruise missile approach.
