This one I can do. "pWindowData->ViewItem.view   = bMode;"   
simply says replace ViewItem.view at location pWindowData   
with bMode.  The "->" represents pointer qualification.  It   
allows you to "qualify" a variable with an address (pointer   
variable) as well as a name (ViewItem.view).  Thus by   
changing the address you can change either the source or   
target (or both) of expressions in an assignment statement.  
 
This becomes obvious in list processing.  I had thought I had   
provided some examples in an earlier thread which illustrates   
this.
