I suspect you are wrong in this belief. I believe I understand exactly
what you want to do and I've already explained to you why you can't get
there they way you are try to.
FWIW, you can alredy do some of what you want with REXX. I've already
pointed you at the DLL you need to use if you choose to go this route.
>I'm NOT looking for a DLL, because I'm NOT
>trying to create new classes or new methods.
What you choose to look for is irrelevant. You will need a DLL to talk to
the WPS. If you choose not to use a DLL, you will not be able to access
the WPS data you want to access.
>I simply want to use the
>existing WPS class query methods and output the results to a file.
As I stated in a previous message, the methods you belive you want to use,
do not exist as callable functions. That's not how the WPS works.
>Based on the above, why, in your mind,is an executable STILL not
>possible?
It has nothing to do with what is in my mind. It is how the WPS works.
Since you are stubborn, all I can do is point you again at the WPS samples
in the Toolkit. The WPSTUTOR is as good a sample to start with as any.

As I noted in my earlier reply, you can get a lot of what you need using
REXX and the appropriate DLL.

It's too bad that IBM did not really complete the implementation of Object
REXX's WPS integration, but so it goes. Of course, as I say, you can
still get much of what you want via REXX and the appropriate DLL.

Steven
